Project Description

This two storey contemporary dwelling in Galway City is typical of its neighbouring dwellings. The brief that our clients gave us for this was to design a two storey house to complement its neighbouring dwellings but to ensure that it has a good flow to it and get as much natural light into it as possible. To this end we designed a large vertical window which goes the full height up by the stairs; this ensures that both the hallway and the upstairs landing are always exposed to natural light. On the ground floor we have a large open plan kitchen, dining and T.V. area with utility. At the front of the dwelling we have a second living room and office. On the first floor we have four large bedrooms, two of which have large ensuites and walk-in-wardrobe.
