Project Description

This contemporary two storey dwelling in Co. Tipperary is very much focused on its orientation which is south west. By incorporating large glazing at the front of the dwelling and a vaulted ceiling at the rear elevation where the kitchen area is we have ensured that the house is continuously filled with natural light. As the kitchen area will be exposed to the morning light we have designed the kitchen in such a way the part of it is exposed to a vaulted ceiling which has a velex window. At the front of the dwelling is a large living room again which will be exposed to the evening sun. This large room is divided by a large double sided fireplace. The ground floor also houses a large master bedroom with a large ensuite and walk-in-wardrobe, there is access to a courtyard just off this bedroom. On the first floor are three large bedroom one with ensuite and a second living area which looks down over the double heighted porch. By designing this double heighted oak clad timber porch it gives you a great sense of large open space the moment you walk into the front door.
